Every country should have a constitution. Almost every country does, and, if not a constitution, then something similar called an ‘uncodified constitution’. A constitution is basically a set of fundamental rules or principles by which a state is governed. Most constitutions will have something called a ‘Bill of Rights’.
In South Africa’s constitution, chapter 2 contains the Bill of Rights, which is a human rights charter that protects the civil, political and socio-economic rights of all people in South Africa.
